Bob and Doug McKenzie in The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 4

In the video The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 4, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh at legal Canadian content guidelines, the characters turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The brothers became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
