In the video The 12 Days of Schatzer Family Christmas: Day 5, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as a joke to both satisfy and mock annoying Canadian content rules, the brothers turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
