In the video The 12 Daze Of Christmas – Fay McKay, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was aired on CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was made originally as an idea to both please and make fun of network Canadian content rules, the pair transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
This comedic take on “The 12 Days Of Christmas” is one of those songs you may have heard but didn’t know the artist. It’s the Fabulous Fay McKay recorded from the original 1971 single.

Recorded using a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable and an AT VM540ML cart. All records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5 with Adobe Audition CC used for recording and processing with clicks removed manually.
