Bob and Doug McKenzie in The 12 Drinks Of Christmas

In the video The 12 Drinks Of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of non sensical Canadian content laws, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
