Bob McKenzie is created by Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a sketch to both please and make fun of silly Canadian content statutes, the two became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
An ex-con who has been arrested more than 10 times and attacked actor Rick Moranis was sentenced to only two years in prison with 3 years probation.
