Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Beer Brothers – Bro

In the video The Beer Brothers – Bro, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s part is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh at stupid Canadian content demands, the pair morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
