Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Best Christmas Ever (1969)

In the video The Best Christmas Ever (1969), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a program which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by actor Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock silly Canadian content rules, the siblings became a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
