In the video The Brilliant Madness of Trailer Park Boys, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sent to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh at non sensical Canadian content demands, the two transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The two enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

I d say the brilliance was there. until season 7. 8 also had good moments but from S9 on it was mostly recycled stories, much less quality in writing. Everyone felt tired in the show.
They made the same mistake all shows make that have no inspiration left. They go into overdrive. Everything has to get more dramatic and by that they loose their formula

I must say I was disgusted by Trailer Park Boys when I found my wife watching it for the first time. She was watching the episode where J-Rock makes a porno with Ricky and Bubbles. I said "Turn that off!"…….And that's all I remember from that dark time. I think I've re-watched the entire series about 12 times. Starting over tonight. Brilliant writing and craftmanship. And straight hilarious!!!!
