In the video The brilliant Rick Moranis #movie #podcast #film #ghostbusters #comedy, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as filler to both satisfy and make fun of dumb Canadian content legislation, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
