Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Christmas Song

In the video The Christmas Song, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a improv which was introduced on second city television for the show’s third season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and make fun of non sensical Canadian content policies, the siblings turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
