In the video The christmas song, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a improv which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s part is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a joke to both fulfill and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content laws, the pair turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
