In the video The Chuck & Dale Show S01E03 – Oh Canada, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as filler to both please and make fun of dumb Canadian content laws, the duo grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The two later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Chuck & Dale remind us of Bob and Doug McKenzie & Cheech and Chong. Chuck and Dale both suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. They are two regular guys that enjoy life and like to have fun.
