The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and make fun of stupid Canadian content legislation, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
