In the video The Dave Thomas Comedy Show: Beefmasters, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by actor Dave Thomas. It was made originally as filler to both satisfy and laugh about legal Canadian content statutes, the two became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Comedians Dave Thomas and Dan Akroyd play two beef enthusiasts who demonstrate their brawn while sampling unique red meat dishes.
