In the video The Flinstones 1994 CAST THEN AND NOW 2022, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of dumb Canadian content laws, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
