In the video The Flintstones Trailer 1994, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Although born originally as filler to both please and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content policies, the characters grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
