Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Flu On Christmas

In the video The Flu On Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about stupid Canadian content rules, the pair grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The pair became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
