Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Great White North

In the video The Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and make fun of non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The characters enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
