Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Great White North

In the video The Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Although created originally as fluff to both fulfill and make fun of silly Canadian content guidelines, the duo grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
