In the video The Great White North | Sass Parrell, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by Rick Moranis and Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh about stupid Canadian content rules, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

This week was Whatever/Christmas Week, and Christmas happened to be on a Wednesday. I tried to get the video edited and up before Thursday rolled around but that didn’t happen… and then on Thursday I had plans with Alison & Molly, but I slept through my alarm and then rushed to get ready and leave, and I didn’t get home until late. SO. There’s that.
I filmed only the beginning of the unwrapping process because my camera stops recording after the clip has reached 9min 40sec, and it was a pain the butt to keep checking it, but I think this is plenty. The rest of the day went like that too, so you’re not really missing out much. Sometime next week I plan on filming a haul of all the Christmas gifts I’ve gotten, so keep checking my main channel for that! I’ll see you next week anyway, niglets!
