Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Great White North

In the video The Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a sketch to both please and makes jokes about silly Canadian content policies, the duo grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The brothers went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
