Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Great White North

In the video The Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as a skit to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content policies, the brothers turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
