Bob and Doug McKenzie in The GREAT White North with Kelly G!

In the video The GREAT White North with Kelly G!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a sketch to both fulfill and make fun of annoying Canadian content legislation, the siblings became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The characters went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
