Bob and Doug McKenzie in “The Hardest Prayer”, Dave Thomas

In the video “The Hardest Prayer”, Dave Thomas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as an idea to both fulfill and make fun of legal Canadian content statutes, the pair transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
