Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Hoser – “Christmas, Eh”

In the video The Hoser – “Christmas, Eh”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s character is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a joke to both satisfy and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content rules, the brothers turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
