Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Hoser – “Let’s go outside.”

In the video The Hoser – “Let’s go outside.”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as an idea to both please and mock dumb Canadian content laws, the brothers transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
