In the video The Lights on Symphony presents The 12 Days of Christmas by Bob and Doug Mckenzie, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock silly Canadian content statutes, the duo morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
