Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Mckenzie Brothers

In the video The Mckenzie Brothers, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content rules, the brothers morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
