Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Misadventures of Rick Moranis: Episode 1: Ricks New Tractor

In the video The Misadventures of Rick Moranis: Episode 1: Ricks New Tractor, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a sketch to both satisfy and makes jokes about network Canadian content rules, the characters became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
