Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Narrow Way

In the video The Narrow Way, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a skit to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content laws, the duo became a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The pair went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
