The character Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a skit to both satisfy and laugh about network Canadian content rules, the two turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
