In the video The Paul Goebel Show, Quarantine Edition, Episode 8. 8?, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content policies, the characters grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The brothers became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
