In the video The Phone Show – November 16th, 2010 – Rick Moranis Happy Hour, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a improv which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and make fun of legal Canadian content rules, the pair turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
