Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Rick Moranis Project – Burn

In the video The Rick Moranis Project – Burn, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Although made originally as filler to both please and mock legal Canadian content guidelines, the siblings turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The characters became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
