Bob is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content rules, the duo transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Omega Supreme seems a bit off lately and Optimus wants to know why. After having to order Omega Supreme, Optimus gets more than he bargained for. Long ago, Omega Supreme defended Crystal City, where he was once friends with the Constructicons. Times were good. But their friendship came to an abrupt end because of Megatron and a little reprogramming. Becoming evil, the Constructicons set out to follow his orders, bringing them into conflict with their former friend, Omega Supreme.

Even though I could never stand the Autobots, I always did like that there were a lot of gray areas in which one or all of them would work together on occasion. Or Autobots had issues within their ranks and weren't all agreeing all the time.

To be honest I never liked how they used Omega Supreme as the Constructicons' main rival only. I mean sure he's one of the Autobots' Heavy hitters but I always believed that every Autobot combiner needs a Decepticon combiner and Omega Supreme doesn't fit the bill. If anyone has a rivalry with the Constructicons, it's the Trainbots and their combiner mode Raiden since they both came from the Diaclone toyline.
That Robo Smasher was causing corrupting minds on the Transformers like becoming Decepticon
You know given this episode, Master Builders and The Core I would love to have seen a story where Chip, Hoist, Grapple, and Omega Supreme join forces to try and find some way of undoing Megatron's reprogramming despite what Prime said in the episode. Maybe have them try and get through to the constructicons saying this is not true self, and Megatron just sees you as nothing more than slaves and tools for his lust for power and conquest. Plus given that Hasbro has not long put out an Autobot version of the G1 Devastator toy named Tonkanator, you got some real potential to build on now.
I like how Sideswipe is just hanging out with the Decepticons at the beginning.
What a cool Episode: I love that Omega Supreme shows Emotion, as he has Tears in his Eyes!
Omega was always a tragic character. Sad to say I know how he feels to be betrayed and still hope to salvage friendships.
Due to the plethora of continuity errors, this episode is bad comedy.
Sideswipe just hanging out with Megatron at 1:33. Bro turned into a Decepticon.
Why did omega hated the constructicons? Shouldn't he blame Megatron because he was the one who reprogram the constructicons to destroy crystal city. And why didn't he tried to to reprogram back to normal?
Finally 1:43 smaller transportation ransformers get larger through a mode…

Watched it couple of times, but it's the first time seeing Sideswipe standing right beside Megatron no less at the Decepticon HQ.
And kudos to the engineers of Golden Gate bridge. They did a heckuva job withstanding ton-weighed Omega Supreme plus Optimus Prime.
How I wish Gojira showed up from the Pacific, or by chance traced the Alcatraz escapees.
it's interesting that the 2 most powerful forces on the Autobots, Omega Supreme and the Dinobots (Grimlock) are basically uncontrollable and only help Optimus when they feel like it…
I thought the constructicons were built by megatron on earth
Shouldn’t the Constructicons have a Cybertron vehicle mode in this episode and not have Decepticon symbols until Megatron gets a hold of them?
Poor Omega. Nothing worse than betrayal from good friends. Optimus was right though vengeance does no good just eats you up inside.
