In the video The Skeleton’s Waltz (Dave Thomas), Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a improv which was televised on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as filler to both follow guidelines and laugh at non sensical Canadian content legislation, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Here is my interpretation of the Skeleton’s Waltz of Dave Thomas on diatonic accordion. Diatonic accordion is smaller than the chromatic accordion (dave’s accordion) and i can’t play all the notes (diatonic is usually used for folk music). So I played the song in an other scale (F-E-A-D). I learnt the song by ear and doing that i realized that this piece was very elaborated!! now i want to say one thing : thank you Dave for this masterpiece!!! (excuse my english i’m french 🙂 )

Il suffit de paramétrer la webcam pour quelle prenne "à l'endroit".
Bravo pour toutes vos interprétations au diato au chroma bouton et piano. A quand un passage au concertina ou au melodeon..? :)
