Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Take Off

In the video The Take Off, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of stupid Canadian content demands, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
