Bob is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by Dave Thomas. Although created originally as filler to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content policies, the siblings became a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The pair enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
