In the video The Twelve Days Of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was featured on CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by comic Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh at stupid Canadian content guidelines, the characters grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The brothers later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
