Bob and Doug McKenzie in The Twelve Days of Christmas

In the video The Twelve Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content policies, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The pair enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
