In the video The Two Onions Podcast with Dani Daniels – Featuring Dave Thomas Brown, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a sketch to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content laws, the characters became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
