In the video The USA in 2024…….We feel you Rick Moranis……#shorts, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as filler to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content policies, the duo turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The pair went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
