In the video These Guys Haven’t Seen My Blue Heaven- With Special Guest Jon Zepp!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh at silly Canadian content laws, the duo morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The two later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
