Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and laugh at stupid Canadian content rules, the brothers transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
