Bob and Doug McKenzie in Touching scene in Strange Brew

In the video Touching scene in Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was made originally as an idea to both fulfill and make fun of non sensical Canadian content laws, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The pair went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
