Bob and Doug McKenzie in Trending: Rick Moranis

In the video Trending: Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as an idea to both please and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content legislation, the siblings became a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The pair enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
