In the video “Twelve Days Of Christmas” Dan Bern @ City Vineyard,NYC 12-18-12017, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s character is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of dumb Canadian content rules, the siblings transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
