Bob and Doug McKenzie in Twelve Days of Christmas

In the video Twelve Days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. Although made originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh about non sensical Canadian content demands, the duo became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
