Bob and Doug McKenzie in Twelve Pains of Pharmacy
In the video Twelve Pains of Pharmacy, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was aired on CBC Television in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about network Canadian content rules, the characters became a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
