going to be returning to that world of
headlines where we talk about
rick moranis and the terrible thing that
happened to him

that apparently if you talk about this
in short form meaning if i talk about it
in like say
two minutes telling you all the deeds
well apparently that’s
adult only that kind of stuff it damages
channels it puts you on this radar for
the platform
that says yeah maybe we need to isolate
you a little bit more
that’s not good i’m not thrilled about
that either because i just wanted to
show you what happened and on
but apparently can’t do that that’s a
problem
considering this is open you have places
asking you for your help figuring out
what’s going to happen so
we’re going to talk about the event i’m
going to add the video and well let’s
see what happens then
so first things first the good news if
you can consider this
good news when you’re talking about an
event here
rick moranis he’s doing okay we heard
from a spokesman or at least the new
york times did
that said with a rick moranis he was
accosted on the upper west side
yesterday again this news is coming out
on friday
he’s fine but he’s grateful also for
everyone’s thoughts and well wishes
so crime stoppers has just released
footage of rick moranis being accosted
on the street
by an unidentified male according to
crime stoppers this attack it happened
at 7 30 a.m on thursday on central park
west
in the vicinity of west 70th street rick
moranis he ended up
suffering pain to the head to the back
the right hip and went to the hospital
for evaluation before reporting this
incident to the police

this being
locked up as an adult only conversation
is the fact that well who might have
witnessed this
we may have a teenager that knows this
person we may have a
child those people might pick this up
they might be able to talk about this
and solve this crime
and in no world is it acceptable to do
this to anyone
little on a 67 year old
jewish male so here’s the post talking

67 year old male was walking southbound
on central park
west in the vicinity of west seventies
street
when an unidentified male struck him in
the head with a closed fist
knocking him to the ground now this
video it hasn’t been closed in on or
anything the other video that i showed
you was actually pulled out so you could
see it a little bit better
but you’ll notice in this this person
again
they walk straight up to it you can see
it happening they’re just walking along
then they veer off they do that and then
well you can see the person collapsed to
the ground
afterwards what’s really disturbing
about it in my opinion
is that this person they just walk off
like nothing
has happened like there’s no problem
whatsoever
i mean that i think it says a lot about
the people that you’re dealing with
and hopefully this kind of person they
can be brought to justice i mean
seriously a person that would do that to
other people
on the street those folks they need to
be
incarcerated they need to be removed
from the rest of us and i think everyone
can agree with that now since this
happened right outside of his home i
keep thinking
to myself was this a random event or was
this something that well
it wasn’t so random at all see if you
look at articles back from say 2015
you’ll notice quote today he talking
about rick moranis
lives alone in a sprawling art filled
apartment
on the upper west side not far from the
building where the ghostbusters once did
battle with a giant stay puft
marshmallow man
talking about where he lives now you
know in this
it happened right outside his doorstep
so
somebody very much could have locked in
on him
said yeah i want to do this to this guy
because of x
y or see like i said it’s been assumed
that this is a random event but maybe
it wasn’t so random at all see over the
last hour plus i’ve seen a lot of people
that have said hey
this is probably an extension of the
knockout game you know where somebody
goes out on the street
they indiscriminately target another
person and they do something terrible to
them and perhaps that
is it but if you look at the way that
that person
sees rick moranis they basically
acknowledge them they seem to notice
them and they step
into them it looks like he was either
targeted individually
or he was targeted for some attribute
you know because well
maybe jewish i mean again we don’t know
why that is but the guy he has lived in
the same place
lived there for quite some time
individually he’s well known
and also again feature wise we’re
talking about a jewish man at that
irregardless of reasoning and setting
aside the fact that we’re talking about
a beloved actor we’re talking about a 67
year old
this is also somebody that decided to
step away from the spotlight for quite
some time
so yeah a lot of people they’re not even
familiar with them anymore
and instead of it being a movie headline
saying hey
we have a new honey i shrunk the kids
we’re hearing about
this stuff what’s more is this is a
person that actually
did the right thing when they needed to
meaning they stepped away from hollywood
they chose
family instead and you know i’ve always
admired that about rick moranis
quote contrary to what it says on his
wikipedia page
and to the fact that he’s barely has an
on appeared on screen
in the past two decades moranis is not
retired
not exactly anyway he did take an
18-year hiatus from acting after his
wife
ann passed from breast cancer in 1997
to focus on raising his two young
children ever the overprotective father
he won’t reveal their names now mirandas
he spoke about this decision
saying he didn’t make the break all at
once but gradually disengaged from
appearing on screen
it wasn’t a formal decision he says it
began in an
already busy year where i declined a
film that was being shot out of town
as the school year was beginning again
he chose family
over fortune and fame so i have to give
him kudos to that and he continues
talking about where he lived
making a living and again this makes the
point that he’s been in that area for
quite some time
but i was fortunate to be able to
continue to make a
living writing and doing voice work in
manhattan
this also talks about how much he’s
worth as well people may target you for
that too
for instance he did the voice of rut and
brother bear
disney’s 2003 inuit adventure which
grows 250 million dollars worldwide
he’s also done radio commercials mostly
airing in canada
released comedy albums and notes one
here and dabbled in
writing wiry op-eds for the new york
times
like the one in which he counted
virtually all of his possessions
including more than a thousand golf
balls in other words it noted he’s been
keeping busy
now back in 2015 he turned down a
ghostbusters movie remake
but he was also making jokes about honey
i shrunk the grandkids
you know saying man i’m surprised disney
hasn’t done that
and now well you guessed it he’s going
to be out
doing another honey i shrunk the kids
and kudos to the guy
by the way i’m glad to see him back i
hate that he’s hit headlines for
this situation though i wish it was
about the movie so we could joke about
that stuff
but yeah i hope this this situation is
rectified i apologize for the long
duration here
and removing the last one but this is a
second attempt i’m curious what happens
with this too
